Concealed Weapons Permit Training
We offer a State of Arizona approved Concealed Carry Permit class. All trainers for this class use the same lesson plan, but we offer some unique differences.
1. If you have a group of friends or family and wish to recieve the training let us know. We will do this class privately for you. Ideally we need a class size or ten to twenty, but we are willing to work with your needs. We have a private range to use in the Wellton area.
2. We will travel to conduct the training. If you have your own private range, adequate class size, and a place to conduct the classroom training we will travel to conduct this training for you. If you a comfortable outside, we will do all the training outside. Remember, there is a written test, so we have to be prepared for that also.
3. We aren't trying to sell anything else. We aren't a "brand specific" class. Glock, Sig, Colt, Smith and Wesson, it doesn't matter. We stress the importance of the right quality equipment and firearms, but understand the cost involved. We are concerned about your ability to understand and apply the concepts of concealed carry in a safe and responsible manner. We will show you the difference that the right equipment can make.
4. After you have completed this CCW permit class, we offer additional classes to keep your skills current. Shooting is a perishable skill. There are lots of different shooters at a different skill levels. If you want to get better, we can do that. If you want to learn skills with a different weapon, we can do that also.
5. I have over twenty years experience as a firearms instructor. Not a range officer or score keeper, as an instructor. I have instructed people on the skills necessary to carry a firearm and prepare them to use it in a stressful situation in a safe and effective manner. I started shooting revolver in competition in the mid 70's and like the rest of the world, transistioned to a semi-auto during my police career. Aside from handguns, I have instructed classes in sub-machine gun, patrol rifle, shotgun, and tactical applications of each. In addition to this I was a defensive tactics instructor (arrest techniques/hand to hand). This gave me additional insight to the dynamics involved in protecting yourself. I will be attending more training this year to keep my classes current in tactics and legal issues. Satisfication is the end of progess. I want continue to progess.
6. I have over twenty five years experience as an instructor. I was an instructor for a wide variety of thing from radar to use of force. I have taught from civilian academies to S.W.A.T. team level. I have conducted classes throughout the state for individual agencies and other groups. I also taught the state approved instructors school and served on the subject matter expert committee for this school for several years.
